### What this allows you to do

Generate static versions of work instructions for sharing outside of BuildOS.

### Exporting Instructions

After creating your work instructions, open the **Export** menu on the right-hand side of the project workspace.

From the Export menu, select the format you’d like to generate, such as:

* **PDF**
* **DOCX**
* **Individual GIFs**

Once your selections are made, click **Export**. BuildOS will render the export and automatically download the file to your device when it’s ready.

### When to Use Exports

Exports are useful when:

* Sharing instructions with stakeholders who don’t have BuildOS access
* Distributing static documentation to customers or suppliers
* Providing files to downstream systems or records

### Key Tips

* For interactive viewing, use the Operator Viewer instead of static exports
