# Share access

This will cover sharing and ownership control of a project.

## Share menu

To modify [share access and ownership](https://dirac-inc.gitbook.io/dirac/how-to-be-successful-in-buildos/concepts/sharing-and-ownership) of a project, you can open the Share menu from within any project by clicking on the "Share" button in the top right of your project.

Here is where you can:

1. Add a user or multiple users to the project.
2. Remove users from the project.
3. Transfer ownership of the project or latest instruction revision.
4. Modify general access to your project.
   1. You can make your project public, which will make it visible to everyone on your team.
   2. You can keep a project private, which will only give access to those invited.

### Transferring ownership

If you are the owner of the project or the owner of the latest instruction revision (or a team administrator), you can transfer ownership to another Engineer or Admin. Use the dropdown next to the users invited to your project to transfer ownership.
