# Time Collection

This will cover how Operator+ captures data for time studies and associated actions

## Capturing Time Data

Operator+ is able to natively capture step-by-step timing information for engineers to analyze in time studies. During a run, the time to complete each step is recorded and shown in the run clock at the top of the viewer, which resets to zero at the start of each step. This data is visible in the [Runs Dashboard](/user-guide/runs-dashboard.md).

## Pausing the Run Clock

Operator+ users may find it necessary to temporarily pause time collection. To do so, click the run clock. To resume, click it again.
