# Completing a Run

This will outline how to complete a run as an operator

## What is a Run?

A run is an individual completion of an approved work instruction performed by an operator. Runs guide an operator through the end-to-end process of assembling a part, ensuring clear, visual guidance for the operator completing the build.

## Executing a Run

To initiate a run, an operator must click on a work instruction displayed in the project library. This action opens the [operator viewer](/operator-guide/operator-viewer.md), where the first step of the work instruction is presented for execution. For Operator+ users, there may be an [additional traceability step](/operator-guide/operator+/traceability.md#starting-a-new-run). As each step of the build is completed, clicking the next arrow will take the user to the next step. This process continues until the full assembly is completed and the run is complete.
