# How to line up annotations in the export

BuildOS allows you to add annotations on top of the 3D window. These annotations are 2D, whereas the model is 3D, which can lead to some inconsistencies based on your display settings.

To ensure your annotations line up correctly:

* [Change your display resolution](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-your-screen-resolution-and-layout-in-windows-5effefe3-2eac-e306-0b5d-2073b765876b) to 1920 x 1080 (1080p)
* Ensure your display scale is 100%
* Ensure your browser window is maximized
* Refresh the page to ensure the left sidebar is its default width
