# Ordering

This will cover the tools available for specifying your instruction's assembly order.

## What is my instruction's order?

The order is the sequence of [steps](https://dirac-inc.gitbook.io/dirac/how-to-be-successful-in-buildos/concepts/steps) involved in an assembly.

## Changing the order

In BuildOS, you can change the order by using the left panel. The order shown on "Model" and "Instructions" is the same, so changes made in one will be reflected in both.

## Automation tools

BuildOS offers the ability to automatically determine your order of assembly - view [Automated Sequencing](https://dirac-inc.gitbook.io/dirac/user-guide/project-open/manipulate-hierarchy#automated-actions).
