# 3D Viewer

This will cover the various tools available for manipulating the 3D visuals.

## Controls

BuildOS has a CAD viewer built in, and comes with all of the controls standard to CAD tools.

You can rotate and pan the camera around your 3D model, as well as zoom in and out.

## Visibility

BuildOS offers several tools for manipulating the visibility of the 3D model. These are used to aid the drafting engineer in sorting through the 3D model, and to determine the correct assembly structure and order.

In "Model" view, the following visibility tools are available:

### Hiding

Hiding parts removes them completely from the visuals. Hiding parts allows you to easily see what is underneath them.

### Highlighting

Highlighting parts will turn unhighlighted parts into wireframes. This allows you to only see and select the highlighted parts, while still having the context of the overall 3D model.

You can easily highlight identical parts using the Bill of Materials tab or the right click menu, which is extremely useful for making clusters.
